SimpleAct alternative for small businesses that mostly use AI tools, not build them

Short answer: SimpleAct is EU AI Act and GDPR compliance software hosted in Germany and sold to businesses only. Its pricing page (checked 23 Oct 2026) shows Starter at €199 a month, or €159 a month billed annually (up to 5 AI systems and 3 users, with AI inventory, risk classification, checklists, PDF/DOCX reporting and an audit log), Professional at €349 or €279 (unlimited systems and users, Annex IV or Article 26 deployer documentation, FRIA, vendor and model registers, shadow-AI discovery, SSO and a GDPR module), and Enterprise on request, all excluding VAT, with a 7-day trial that needs a credit card. If you are a small business that uses AI tools and needs an inventory, an Article 4 literacy record and the dates, EURO AI Register does that free for up to 10 AI systems, or $19 a month for unlimited. If you need team workflows, GDPR records in the same system, or provider documentation, SimpleAct is the stronger choice.

The pain this page is about

“We use ChatGPT, a website chatbot and an AI feature in our CRM. What do we actually have to write down, and do we need a €2,000-a-year platform for it?” For many small deployers the first job is a list of AI systems and a record of the literacy measures taken. Bigger or regulated firms need more.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SimpleAct cost?

Its pricing page (checked 23 Oct 2026) shows Starter at €199 a month or €159 a month billed annually, Professional at €349 or €279, and Enterprise on request, all excluding VAT.

Does SimpleAct have a free trial?

Yes, 7 days with the full Starter scope. Its page says a credit card is required and the Starter subscription continues unless you cancel.

Is the GDPR module in SimpleAct Starter?

No. Its pricing page says the GDPR module is included from Professional.

Does EURO AI Register make my business compliant?

No tool can. It is a record-keeping aid: an AI inventory, an Article 4 literacy record and dated notes. It is not legal advice, an audit or a conformity assessment.

When do the EU AI Act high-risk rules apply?

After Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, Annex III high-risk rules apply from 2 December 2027 and AI in regulated products (Annex I) from 2 August 2028. Article 4 AI literacy has applied since 2 February 2025.

Not legal advice. EURO AI Register and the Readiness Kit are record-keeping aids, not proof of compliance, not an audit and not a conformity assessment; the AI Act has no organisation-wide seal a tool can give you. If a system may be banned or high-risk, have a qualified lawyer review it. Unadhi is not affiliated with the EU or any EU authority.
