AI recruitment tools in Ireland: high-risk under the AI Act from 2 Dec 2027

AI used to recruit, screen, filter or evaluate candidates is listed in Annex III. Under the Digital Omnibus (Reg (EU) 2026/1744, in force 27 Jul 2026), the high-risk obligations now apply from 2 Dec 2027 (Cooley). Candidate-facing bots must already meet the Art 50 disclosure rule. What to do: start your technical documentation, human-oversight procedure and bias-testing log now. Employers using the tool are deployers with their own duties (Art 26).
