GSTR-3B quarterly due date, Oct 2026: the 22nd or the 24th, depending on your state

Last updated 11 Oct 2026 · India

Last checked: 11 Oct 2026 against GST portal: GSTR-3B user guide and GSTN QRMP advisory (state groups).

Short answer. If you file GST quarterly under the QRMP scheme, GSTR-3B for July–September 2026 is due on 22 October 2026 if your principal place of business is in a 22nd-group state (including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat), or 24 October 2026 in a 24th-group state (including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal). Monthly filers file GSTR-3B by the 20th of the following month in every state (GST portal GSTR-3B guide; state groups in the GSTN QRMP advisory). As of 13 Oct 2026 we found no official notification extending these dates.

“For quarterly filers, due date for filing of Form GSTR-3B, as notified for different States/UTs, is 22nd and 24th day of the month following the quarter for which the return pertains.”

— GST portal, Form GSTR-3B user guide (checked 13 Oct 2026)

“if you opt for QRMP scheme, both Form GSTR-1 and Form GSTR-3B will be required to be filed at quarterly frequency.”

— GST portal, FAQs on QRMP profile (checked 13 Oct 2026)

Why two dates?

The split spreads the load on the GST portal so that the whole country does not file on one day. Your date depends on where your principal place of business is registered, not where you sell.
