Registering a One Person Company on MCA V3: 8 mistakes that get SPICe+ sent back for resubmission
The 8 mistakes
- Name that is too close to an existing company or trademark, or a name that does not match the main object. Check the MCA name search and the trademark register before Part A.
- Name without "(OPC)". OPC names end in "(OPC) Private Limited", and the words "One Person Company" must appear in brackets below the name wherever it is printed (section 12(3)).
- Nominee consent missing or unsigned (INC-3), or a nominee who is not an Indian citizen resident in India.
- Old utility bill for the registered office; it should not be older than two months.
- No NOC from the property owner, or a rent agreement in a different name from the NOC.
- Name mismatch between PAN, Aadhaar and the DSC (initials vs full name, spelling).
- Vague main objects in the e-MoA ("all types of business"); write the actual activity.
- Wrong or missing attachments in AGILE-PRO-S (GST, EPFO, ESIC, bank details) that do not match SPICe+.
