Prohibited property search in Andhra Pradesh (IGRS AP): check a flat or plot in Vizag or Vijayawada before you pay

Checked against official sources on 14 Oct 2026 · Not legal advice · Government websites change, so re-check before you rely on a step.

Short answer: Andhra Pradesh's Registration & Stamps Department (IGRS AP) has a free Prohibited Property Search. It has two tabs, Urban Properties and Rural Properties. For an urban property you pick the district, mandal and village and type the door number, or type * to list every door number in that village. Run it before you pay any advance for a flat or plot in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur or Tirupati.

FAQ

How do I check prohibited properties in Andhra Pradesh online?

Open registration.ap.gov.in/igrs/ppProperty, choose Urban or Rural Properties, pick district, mandal and village, enter the door number (or * for all) and press Get Details. Checked on 14 Oct 2026.

What does * in the door number do?

The page's note says entering * shows details for all door numbers in the selected village. It helps when the door number on the deed is written differently.

Is the AP prohibited property list the same as Meebhoomi?

No. The prohibited property search is on the Registration & Stamps (IGRS AP) site. Meebhoomi is the land records portal. Check both.

If the property isn't listed, can I go ahead?

The list is one check among several. Get the EC, check the land record and have a lawyer confirm title before paying.

Is this legal advice?

No. Not legal advice. A lawyer must confirm title. Government websites change; we checked these pages on 14 Oct 2026.

Not legal advice. We don't check properties or certify ads. A lawyer must confirm title, and the Authority's own notices override anything on this page.
