TG-RERA number in property ads (Hyderabad): what must be in the top-right box

Checked against official sources on 13 Oct 2026 · Not legal advice · Government websites change, so re-check before you rely on a step.

Short answer: TG-RERA's public notice under Section 37 of the RERA Act says ads for real estate projects in a prospectus, print, hoardings or any other visual medium must show the competent authority's permit number (HMDA, GHMC, DTCP, gram panchayat etc.), the project's TG-RERA registration number and the website https://rera.telangana.gov.in, in the top right corner, in a font at least as large as the font used for the contact details and address.

What the box should look like

Put this in the top right corner of every hoarding, newspaper ad, brochure page and project creative:

Layout / Building Permission No.: (HMDA/GHMC/DTCP/G.P etc.) ______
TG RERA Registration No.: ______
Website: https://rera.telangana.gov.in

Layout copied from the TG-RERA public notice. Fill in the real numbers from the project's approval letter and its TG-RERA registration certificate.

Radio, TV and SMS

The same notice says that on FM radio, electronic media and SMS, the registration number and approval details must be mentioned prominently. There's no corner on a radio spot, so say the numbers clearly and put them in the SMS text itself.

Instagram posts, reels and WhatsApp creatives

The notice covers "any other visual medium". Our reading is that this includes social posts, reels and WhatsApp forward images, so the safest habit is to keep the same top-right box on every project creative. Treat this as our interpretation, not a TG-RERA ruling.

Before you post: 6-point check

Buying in Hyderabad instead of selling? The same box tells you where to check: search the registration number on rera.telangana.gov.in before paying a token amount. For land and title checks, see our EC guide.

FAQ

Do agents have to show their own RERA agent number in every ad?

We didn't find a TG-RERA rule that says so. The notice is addressed to promoters and project ads. Showing your agent registration number is good practice, but we won't tell you it's mandatory.

Do resale or rental posts need a RERA number?

We didn't find a TG-RERA rule requiring it for resale or rental posts. The notice is about advertising real estate projects. If in doubt, ask TG-RERA or your lawyer.

Can I run a pre-launch ad or take an EOI before registration?

TG-RERA's FAQ says a project or phase can't be advertised before it is registered. Don't run pre-launch creatives for an unregistered project.

Where do I find a project's TG-RERA registration number?

On the project's registration certificate, or by searching the project on https://rera.telangana.gov.in.

Does using your checklist make my ad RERA compliant?

No. The checklist helps you catch missing details before you publish. Only TG-RERA decides compliance, and this isn't legal advice.

Not legal advice. We don't check properties or certify ads. A lawyer must confirm title, and TG-RERA's own notices override anything on this page.
