Common mistakes
- Using one national date for quarterly GSTR-3B. The date is 22nd or 24th by state group.
- Confusing the October tax period with due dates that fall in October. The September monthly return is due 20 Oct; the October monthly return is due 20 Nov.
- Waiting for an extension rumour. Extensions appear as notifications on the GST / CBIC channels. Until you see one, file on time.
